So, my goal for 2025 is to read 50 books and I’m halfway done with the first book (round of applause). I perused my TBR list (20 pages long by the way!) and I randomly picked 4 additional books that I want to finish reading by the end of this month. If you have read any of these books, I would love to hear your opinions of them!
A Broken Blade by Melissa Blair
This book has been an enthralling read so far. I bought it during my first trip to Barnes & Noble of this year, after the cover caught my eye. I love the FMC Keera and the mystery of The Shadow keeps me engaged with the story. A Broken Blade is the first book of Blair’s Halfling Saga and you can bet that I’ll be getting the rest of the series ASAP.

King of Wrath by Ana Huang
Okay so Booktok made me buy this one because of all the videos about the Kings of Sin series. Ana is one of the biggest authors of the romance book scene right now and from the synopsis of this book, it sounds juicy. A brooding MMC, a smart and badass FMC, and an arranged marriage?? Sign me up!

Toxic by Maggie Cole
I’m always up for a steamy mafia story and the second-chance trope is thrown into this book? I will be perched on my chair and devouring this story. Apparently Toxic completely lives up to its namesake, with betrayals and plot twists that will make my head spin. I’m ready for the intrigue!

Scandalous Games by Simran
The first book of the Arranged Games series, Scandalous Games is perfect for those of us who love morally grey men and feisty women. Plus the leads are locked in a fake relationship with some yearning sprinkled in… Hello! Once again, I have to thank Booktok for introducing me to this soon-to-be-read book.

Salt by Bex Dawn
Sigh… I’ve always been into musicians and this book’s synopsis made me immediately add it to my Kindle. The first book of the Groveton College series, Salt is an inclusive read as the FMC is mute and the subject material can be intense as far as mental health struggles. I’ll have a box of tissues at the ready as I read this one.

I’m excited to dive into the remaining four books after I finish A Broken Blade. Which books are you currently reading or about to start? Let me know in the comments!
